PHNOM PENH

11236 Beechnut

Back from hoilday and first spot is some good PHO.

Phnom Penh offers the freshest ingredients with an exquisite variety of entrees. Enjoy our elegant ambiance, decor and excellent service while chowing down on some of our family made Vietnamese cuisine.

Some of they specialties include: GOI CUON (spring rolls) with fish sauce. The cook walked toward the back, to show off the new kichten. She explained that NO powders was used to make the broth.

I order the spring rolls with fish sauce and # 45. DAC BIET (beef underdone, fat brisket, flank, and tripe).

the overall: GOOD

12809 Bellaire - COM PHAN VIETNAM

I needed some fuel for the pruis....(not really) while paying for my gatoraide. I notice a buffett set up...WOW (i like)!

The owner advised that she been at this location 8 years. She walked me thru the section of dishes. I'd noticed the Beef with Oriental Vegetables (Bo Xao Thap Cam) and Orange Flavored Chicken (Ga Vo Cam), but it is lent season still. I need a NON-MEAT dish...the owner pointed out a String Beans with Bean Sprouts (Dau Ve Xao) ,Srimp with Oriental Vegetables and a TOFU dish. I got the tofu dish......and it was pretty good.

"The interior was bit sparse (up size 42' tv), the service was good, and the food was excellent"

i like my food with a lil kick.....the owner offered a mini green pepper.....BEWARE! " HOT as HECK" lol....

2912 fountain view Seafood Market

3/10

the fountainview seafood market was a great find! The location hiding away in a strip center, bewteen to 2 major streets (westheimer & richmond).

The market is clean, and do not smell like fish (a good sign).

the menu is easy to read and basic (fish, shrimp, and crab). My order was dozen large shrimp, fries, slaw, stuff crab, and soft drink.

My order was fresh, fast and hot...

check it out....limited seating for the lunch hour rush. Beware !!!! bring cash....or you are subject to paying goods totally $ 10.00...(an credit card issue).
